About

Danni Xu is a Chinese-born jewelry artist and metalsmith based in the Seattle area. Through Danni Xu Studio, she makes collectible art jewelry alongside pieces for everyday wear, bringing a sculptural sensibility and a personal touch to both.

Her practice explores how jewelry holds memory, carries emotion, and connects people across time and place. Drawn to nostalgia and the quieter complexities of inner life, she treats jewelry as an intimate form of expression — something experienced both by looking and by wearing. Her collectible work is where these ideas are explored most freely; her production collection brings them into everyday life. Both are grounded in careful craftsmanship and close attention to the relationship between an object and the person who wears it.

After years in arts education, Danni moved to the Seattle area to focus on her independent practice. Through the studio, she hopes to share what contemporary jewelry can be, and to connect with people who value thoughtful design, individual expression, and the work of the hand.
